  • Wii Shipments for Christmas 2008

    Posted on October, 26 2008

Nintendo is planning to send a large shipment of Wii Consoles to the United States for Christmas, but even this large holiday boost might not be enough to quench the US's thirst for the exercise friendly gaming system.

Nintendo has aknowledged the shortage and is planning to do something about it by shipping millions of Wii's to the United States before Christmas, unfourtunaly nothing seems to stop or even make a dent in the demand for this system, if anything it's only gotten harder to find over time.

While you may still be hardpressed to find a Wii in stores during Christmas, it should be a lot easier with the boost in shipment to find one online. If you want to order a Wii Online check out our Wii Console page, it helps you find the Wii console for a cheap price and helps you locate low priced Wiis on Ebay which should be one of the best and easiest ways to get a Wii this Christmas.

  • Rage Wii Guitar Causes Burn Injuries

    Posted on October, 24 2008

The Rage Wireless Guitar controller for the Nintendo Wii is now being recalled because of faulty circutry which can cause the batteries in the guitar to leak and burn the person who's holding it. Now consumers are being urged to return the product to their retailers for a full refund.

The recall was initated by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Manufacturer Performance Designed Products estimated that around 57,000 units of the Rage Wireless Guitar have been sold.

This is also another blow to Chinas manufacturing standards which seem to be getting lower each week, first they put lead in our kids toys, now they try to burn us. At this rate we can probably expect their next guitar to explode in our faces if we play a wrong note.

If you are looking for some Wii Gutar Controllers that wont melt and burn your hand off check out our Wii Guitars section, here are a few of my favorite third-party Wii Guitars:

  • Wii Storage Solution Will Be SD Cards

    Posted on October, 14 2008

A lot of people are wondering if Nintendo completely forgot about the storage issues with the Wii, well at a recent Press Conference Nintendo president Satoru Iwata let us know they didn't forget. Nintendo recently revealed a bit more about their solution which seems to be leaning towards better use of already available Wii Compatible SD Cards. Basically they would let you download content onto an SD card and possibly play the game directly from the SD card which would make storage a lot more simplistic. There has been no real confirmation of being able to play games from the SD card but we'll see what they can come up with.

Either way it works, letting you play from the SD card or not, at least Nintendo is finally taking some real steps to address the issue of storage on the Wii. They plan to roll out their solution in Spring 2009, so we have a while to wait, but it should be worth it.

  • Nintendo Wii Storage Solution Revisited

    Better Than A Hard-Drive?

    Posted on September, 17 2008

It wasn't to long ago that Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime teased that Nintendo was activly working on a Wii storage solution, also adding that it would be "better than" a hard drive.

These statements were made in an interview with a Latin American publication, which was later translated by a popular Nintendo fan site. In the interview, Fils-Aime pretty much ended all the Wii hard drive rumors and said the company will come up with something better.

Many have said that the best solution would be to "just integrate the SD card reader that's already in the Wii into the console's available storage, treating it as if it were a seamless extension of the flash memory inside each console." This would be an inexpensive fix and people who already have a large SD cards would love it. Plus Guitar Hero: World Tour is proving that SD storage and playback is viable on the Wii.

Do you think Nintendo has a good plan to solve the storage problem on the Wii? What do you think their solution will be, could it really be better than a hard drive?
